So sorry, we never officially announced that I made it through an entire semester without duplicating an outfit.
Thank-you for all your support and encouragement throughout my adventure.
Until my next challenge,
Helen

Last one for the year! (Dec 22)
Well, she made it to Christmas, even if she had to break out the sweaters. Not the favorite items in our hero's deep closet, but good for the season. Any port in a storm, I say!
Today's number, it must be admitted, does fall a bit further into the ugly-Christmas-sweater category, though Helen jazzes it up with red shoes and festive necklace. A white turtleneck sets off the snowflakes and snowmen on the sweater, and to round it off, we've got our office holiday wreath in the background.
See you next year!

December 21st (Day 63)
Helen was thrilled today when she got a surprise visit from the adorable Julia, who is sporting a cute purple and pink outfit with a coordinating ruffle around the waist and ankles. Rumor has it that Julia's outfit was a gift from our fashion maven.....not hard to believe! (In case you're wondering who Julia is, her mom made a guest appearance on the blog just before Thanksgiving).
Helen is sporting another Christmas sweater for the holiday homestretch. A red cotton crew neck with what appears to be a relative of Rudolph on the front. Exposed stitching at the neck and shoulders gives the sweater a crafty air. The red pops against Helen's tried and true black turtle neck and casual black slacks. (Helen has shared with us that she owns six pairs of black pants).
Ho! Ho! Ho!

Christmas Sweaters! December 20, 2011
OK, we're a bit behind here, what with the holidays and all, but since Helen is keeping this up, so are we.
Today we have the first of perhaps not many, but some, Christmas sweaters (which really aren't all that bad looking, so I hesitate to call them ugly).
I'm not sure why Helen is making that face, but I do know that we are awash in chocolate Christmas goodness, all free for the taking, as visitors to the office know. The sweater is, I think, an understated and playful black-on-white/white-on-black snowman button-up, worn over a white turtleneck, and accompanied by a black skirt and stockings with black shoes. I'm not sure we've seen too many white or even light-colored tops, but we'll have to hit the archives on that one.

Where are the Christmas sweaters?
What? More black and gray outfits? Come on, Helen, I know you have a Rubbermaid tub of Christmas sweaters somewhere in that attic of yours! It's Friday, December 16th, Day 61 of the great clothing challenge, and there are only four more work days before Santa comes down the chimney. You can't tell me you don't own at least a week's worth of vintage Christmas sweaters that you could share with your readers! (Or maybe your kids took them all to college for Ugly Christmas Sweater Parties?)
Nevertheless, our heroine is looking lovely as usual in a black three quarter sleeve top, gray skirt, and a hint of the holidays at the neckline with a necklace made of mini Christmas tree bulbs.
I can't wait to see the sweaters next week!

Thursday, December 15th (Day 60)
Today Mz. Helen pulls a classic 'white and black.' Strategically standing next to the deco white-and-black wallhanging in Associate Dean's Andrea's office, and contrasted nicely by the blue of the exam books, here we see Helen in true-blue NYC style in a 3-quarter sleeve white cardigan, short black ruffled skirt, black tights, and black super-efficient pumps. The business (of grading) is serious, and is underscored by the sheer pile of exambooks, the white question sheet, the pencil, and the glassess on the -- also black -- table. Helen's bright smile (sans doggie stress, phew!!), however, and the sheer chic of this outfit will make grading a lighter chore for anyone concerned, one hopes!
P.S. - and may I just take a moment to feel rather pleased that this blog was my idea? Ellen will testify.

Wednesday, December 14th (Day 59)
The red shoes are back! Glad to see that Helen is still trying to get her money's worth out of the red patent leather Cole Hahn flats she first sported on Day 52. Today the ruby slippers are a perfect compliment to Helen's black, gray and red argyle sweater. Black shoes just wouldn't have been festive enough during the holiday season!
Is it me or does Helen look a little stressed petting our co-worker's dog Brandi? I wasn't there when the pooch stopped by and I'm not sure if Helen is a dog lover, but if this photo is any indication, my guess is that there aren't any doggie treats under Helen's tree.
We are in the home stretch of the semester, just days from Christmas break, and some of our more loyal followers want Helen to continue on her fashion mission until she shows up in sweats and a t-shirt. If you have an opinion, let us know!
